By leveling the sidewalks, we aim to:

Sidewalk Leveling: The uneven, three-level sidewalks will be leveled out to create a single, smooth surface.
New Concrete Pouring: Fresh concrete will be poured to replace the old, worn-out walkways, ensuring durability and a polished appearance.
Maintained Drive-Through Access: Despite the upgrades, the downtown roads will remain accessible to vehicles, except during special events like parades and festivals.
These improvements are essential for making downtown Lufkin a safer and more inclusive place for everyone.
Addressing Concerns
We recognize that parking availability is a significant concern for both residents and visitors. To alleviate this issue, we have implemented several measures:
Thrash Parking: We have repurposed certain areas for parking to provide more parking opportunities.
